Falerum

The photographs move through roads, houses, gardens and overlooked details, looking at how a place reveals itself when very little seems to happen. Rather than documenting Falerum as a complete portrait, the series follows fragments: traces of use, changing light, worn surfaces and the relationship between the built environment and the surrounding landscape. Familiar scenes become slightly unfamiliar when isolated from their context. The work is less about explaining the place than staying with it. It observes how memory and atmosphere can exist in ordinary structures, empty spaces and small transitions. Together, the images form a restrained study of a Swedish locality that is both specific and difficult to define.
