Sunday Editorial is an independent publishing platform built around a simple editorial idea: one issue, one place.
The project brings together photography, editorial design, digital product development and print production within a single system. Each issue begins with a photographic study of a specific location and develops into a curated digital story, a printed magazine and selected fine-art editions.
I designed the concept, visual identity, editorial structure and complete digital experience. I also developed the contributor and editorial workflows, including issue creation, image sequencing, review tools, print preparation and commissioned editions.
The project explores how the same story can move between screen and paper without losing its visual rhythm, atmosphere or editorial purpose.
The system
The platform was designed as one connected editorial system rather than a collection of pages. A shared structure carries each place from photographic edit and sequencing through a digital issue, archive and atlas, while the same visual rules extend into the printed magazine and fine-art editions.
From place to issue
Every issue begins with a place rather than a theme. Photography is edited into a sequence, grouped into chapters and supported by concise contextual writing. The same editorial structure then becomes the foundation for the digital issue, its archive entry and the printed edition.
The publishing workflow
I designed the platform around the work that happens before publication: creating an issue, assigning contributors, uploading and sequencing photographs, writing captions, reviewing chapters and preparing the final release. Contributor Studio gives photographers a focused workspace, while the editorial view keeps structure, status and production decisions visible.
Across screen and paper
The digital experience uses generous pacing, image-led chapters and an atlas that connects stories by place. In print, the same hierarchy is translated into page rhythm, paper choices and edition details. The goal was not to make both formats identical, but to preserve the same voice and visual logic in each medium.
Outcome
Sunday now operates as a published editorial platform with a growing issue archive, contributor profiles, geographic browsing and a repeatable production workflow. The first releases demonstrate that the system can carry a photographic story from fieldwork and edit through publication, print preparation and long-term archive.
